Sail with the crew of Twister as they set sail from Amsterdam to Portugal.
This trip is 14 days of expedition sailing, where you will become part of the crew’s watch system as you cross open seas to reach the port of Cascais in Portugal. Sail down the English Channel passing the chalk cliffs and sandy bays of Gurnsey and Jersey on the way towards France and the Bay of Biscay. Once you’ve crossed the bay, sail close to the West coast of Portugal along the Atlantic Ocean until you reach Cascais, a coastal town just west of Lisbon, Portugal.
This passage is a great opportunity for those that want more time at sea, to improve their sailing skills on a Tallship and be part of a knowledgeable crew who love to share their wisdom and tales. There will be very few if any stopping points on the duration of this passage.
Twister has her very own onboard chef who will provide you with a delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner whatever the weather and all included in your ticket price!
Facilities on board.
Your stay on board is in a two-person cabin.
Toilets and showers are located in the hallway near the cabins.
On board are two large comfortable interior spaces, the wheelhouse and the aft.
These are our living rooms where there are plenty of seats and tables, and where we can eat, drink, laugh and catch up with each other.
On deck there is enough space to enjoy the peace, the sun and of course the extremely beautiful horizon.
There is a disclaimer: due to weather conditions the sailing schedule may have to be adjusted.
