After a lovely afternoon of French chansons and happy vibes, we were treated with another astonishing sunset.
We almost get used to it, but never quite enough. We still gather on the aft deck, postpone other tasks, and take a moment to enjoy.
We had to take some sails away for the night and put the engine on to assist us, due to a lack of wind.
When the sails are down, it gives us a moment to service and maintain them if needed.
Because the sails take good care of us, we also take good care for them.
So, when the wind died down yesterday, it gave us the chance to repair a patch on the schooner.
Karl, Nils and Thomas (see picture during sunrise) took this lovely job on them.
Luckily, early in the morning we could hoist all sails again and continue just by sail.
It makes the reward even bigger when you can hoist the schooner again in better condition the next morning.
