Almost two times back and forward from Hoek van Holland to Harwich.

Looking back: Eighthundredsixtyfive miles from our departure bay Marigot to Bermuda. Roughly de distance from Amsterdam to Madrid or Helsinki. This all with a maximum speed of a Sunday afternoon bicycle ride.

The route from that same departure bay Marigot to Horta on the island of Faial is about Twentytwohundred nautical miles as a bird flies. Because of the earths predominant wind directions our route cannot be the shortest. Departing with east-norteasterly winds (passat) heading North to find westerly winds. We found those winds now.
