Everybody brings their own little something to the journey:

Thomas brought his ukelele, Katrin her sextant.

But people also bring their characters. Their stories.

Nils inspires the ship with his ideals and is a great story teller.

Pete is singing chanties and sharing life advice: ‘you don’t want to be the richest man in the graveyard’.

Floor tells us about her travels, loves to go in the jib net and teaches us yoga.

Iris is learning others German and keeping the spirits high.

Heleen is knitting and always keeps an eye on everything.

Thomas is singing during the breakfast and explaining me how his outfit always looks so fabulous: ‘the principle of unit of form and function’ which applies to more than just clothing.

Wik is always cheerful: whether it is about the course, speed, people, weather or food.

Because everybody brings something different to the ship, they also find joy in various things on board.

Therefore Greg is inspecting the engine room, Maria is greasing leather and Katrin is updating nautical paper charts.

‘Luckily nobody is the same, right? That would be a boring world.’ Is what my grandmother always told me.

And is she right!
